Linda P. Askew
TRIANGLE—Linda Pope Askew, 63, formerly of Harrellsville, N.C., died Dec. 3, 2008, due to complications from pneumonia.
She founded and directed Askew’s Daycare Home in Harrellsville.
Mrs. Askew attended The Carpenter’s Shop Church in Ahoskie, N.C.
She was married to Edward McCoy Askew of Harrellsville.
In addition to her husband, survivors include two daughters, Wilma Askew King of Durham, N.C., and Machelle Askew Reid of Triangle; two sisters, Marjorie Pope of Marion, S.C., and Katherine Ridley of Hampton; a brother, Ray Pope of Franklin; and four grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be handled by Vaughan’s Funeral Home, Franklin.
She was a breast cancer survivor, therefore, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, 5005 LBJ Freeway Suite 250, Dallas, TX 75244.
