Dorothy M. Johnson
WINDSOR—Dorothy Mary Johnson died Nov. 2, 2008, at Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk.
Born Nov. 16, 1924, in Syracuse, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late John Andrew and Suzanne Fedorjak Pyatac.
She was the widow of Gordon Raymond Johnson.
Mrs. Johnson lived in Syracuse from 1924 to 1942 and in New Hartford, N.Y., from 1942 to 1992.
She moved to Windsor in 1993 to live with her son, James Russell Johnson.
She was employed at New Hartford Central School for 22 years.
She was a member of the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in New Hartford.
Survivors include three sons, James Russell Johnson of Windsor, John Raymond Johnson and Jerrold Robin Johnson of Albuquerque, N.M.; two sisters, Margaret P. Ranz of Liverpool N.Y. and Patricia P. Garn of Syracuse; a brother, John N. Pyatac of Severna Park, Md.; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Shrine of the Infant Jesus of Prague in Wakefield by Father Charles Saglio.
The family is being served by J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Purviance Chapel in Wakefield.
