COURTLAND—The Southampton Academy girls’ basketball team improved to 6-2 with a 47-24 win over Greenbrier Christian Tuesday.

Rachel Holland paced the Lady Raiders with 19, while Beth Waller added 12.

Coach Chris Pope said all nine players scored in the win against Greenbrier.

“It was a good game,” Pope said. “We played better defensively. It was an all-around good game.”

The Lady Raiders remain 3-2 in the Virginia Commonwealth Conference after the non-league victory.

SA hosted VCC foe Kenston Forest on Thursday. Results were not available by press time.
