Nancy and Gerald Pyle of Staunton and formerly of Franklin announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Rogers Pyle, to Daniel Thomas Wright.

He is the son of Deborah and Carl Wright of Crystal Lake, Ill.

The bride-to-be graduated from Southampton High School and received a bachelor’s degree from Swarthmore College, master’s of fine arts from Mary Baldwin College and her law degree from Loyola University Chicago. She is a lawyer in Chicago.

Her future husband received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Illinois, where he is a doctoral candidate.

A spring wedding is planned in Staunton.
