SUFFOLK—Earlene Browning Pulley, 75, of Suffolk, Va., passed away January 25, 2012.

She was born in San Diego, Calif., the daughter of the late Laura Lee Ornduff Browning and Leitha Earl Browning.

She is the widow of Franklin Curtis Pulley Sr.

She was a member of Somerton Friends Meeting House and enjoyed scrap-booking, crocheting, bowling, babysitting and cooking.

Earlene is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Frances P. and Burrell Holland of Courtland, Carolyn “Marie” and Grover Johnson Jr. of Suffolk, Ella P. and Ronald Daughtrey of Suffolk, and Becky P. and Eric Tansmore of Hampton; son and daughter-in-law, Franklin Curtis Pulley Jr. and Joyce Pulley of Suffolk; grandchildren Dawn (Denny), B.J., G.J. (Kim), Joey (Katie), Kellie, Curt, Lynsey, Carson and Megan; great-grandchildren, Brittany, McKenna, Riley, Landen, Parker and Will; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn B. and Ralph Woodard of Grandy, N.C.; brother and sister-in-law, Charles Earl and Mary Ellen Browning of Suffolk; several nieces and nephews; and faithful canine companion, Wendy.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 28, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the Somerton Friends Meeting House Cemetery with Pastor Amanda Smith officiating. Friends may join the family at other times at the residence.
