Arrests made in armed robberies

FRANKLIN—Two Franklin men have been charged in connection with last week’s armed robberies in the area of Barrett’s Landing, Franklin police said.
Tremain Marquis Freeman, 20, of 208A Washington St. and Jaquan Williams, 21, of 200 Cobb St. were charged with attempted robbery, abduction and three counts of armed robbery. Freeman also faces five counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Freeman, Williams and one other suspect robbed three male juveniles of cell phones and a small amount of cash near the We Be Jammin’ concert at Barrett’s Landing on Sept. 2, police said.
Freeman and Williams are being held without bond at Western Tidewater Regional Jail in Suffolk.
