Camp Community College to hold FAFSA workshops

This year, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) has undergone the most significant changes in 40 years. Camp Community College is holding two sessions to help students and parents navigate through the 2024-25 FAFSA process.

A CCC news release noted that FAFSA Saturdays will be held at the following locations and dates:

  • Saturday, Feb. 3, from 9-11 a.m. at the college’s Franklin Campus, Room 117
  • Saturday, Feb. 10, from 9-11 a.m. at the college’s Suffolk Campus, Room 105

For those who have never filed for the FAFSA before, at least one week prior to the events, students — and parents, if the student is younger than age 24 — each need to log in to www.studentaid.gov to request an FSA ID and password. These are used as electronic signatures and can only be used by the person to whom they are assigned. Students and/or families must also bring all 2022 income and tax documents.

More information is available Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., by calling 757-569-6715.
